SAFE Needs Your Assistance!

We are writing to you on behalf of the SAFE Foundation’s efforts to champion safe, sustainable sports and recreation fields for all athletes.  As part of its mission, SAFE funds scholarships, research and outreach programs.

An important part of our fundraising occurs at the annual STMA Conference each January through silent and live auctions and raffles.  The items that STMA members donate to these fundraisers are hugely important to the success of SAFE.  There are 4 ways that we ask that you consider supporting SAFE.

  1. Donate a valuable item for the live auction.  In return, the STMA will feature the item and your company in several promotions to the membership as well as signage at the live auction event.  The items in the live auction normally retail for at least $1,500.
  2. Donate something of value for the raffles.  Successful items in previous years have been the latest electronic gadgets (Kindle, iPad, etc.), travel vouchers, gift cards, etc.
  3. Donate team gear or memorabilia to the silent auction. Large and Extra Large sizes have been most popular in the past. Women’s items are also desired.
  4. Make a cash donation to The SAFE Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.

Due to the generosity of last year’s supporters, SAFE was able to increase our scholarship total by $4,000, growing our total student challenge awards by $2,000. Now each winning team can take home $1,000 more for their efforts and success.

Thank you for your support.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  To donate, please fill out the attached donation form and mail, email or fax it to STMA headquarters.

Sincerely yours,

The SAFE Fundraising Committee - Auction and Raffles
